Camp YUMKA

The naming of Camp Yumka came directly from a child. One day, an Audubon kindergartner (Marissa Hinch) was trying to read a sign at the Ywhich said, "We love our YMCA friends". As she was reading phonetically, she sounded out the YMCA as if it were a word - YUMKA. It stuck! Children would pass the sign and say as it as she had so when it came time to find a name for the camp, there was no better choice than the one designed by a child. Camp YUMKA!

At Camp YUMKA, you can make new friends, learn new skills and enjoy the outdoors under the direction of trained counselors! Campers have the opportunity to swim, go on field trips and participate in a wide variety of activities.
