Inclement Weather Policy
Cancellation of Philadelphia Freedom Valley YMCA programs and classes is dictated by the school district your YMCA branch is in or announced through a KYW 1060AM closing number.
Audubon YMCA - Methacton School District. (#1145)
Phoenixville YMCA - Phoenixville School District
Pottstown YMCA - Pottstown School District
Spring Valley YMCA - Spring-Ford School District
Upper Perkiomen Valley YMCA - Upper Perkiomen School District (#282)
1.) If your YMCA branch's School District is closed-
- All program classes will be cancelled.
2.) If your YMCA branch's School District has a delayed start-
- All morning classes will be cancelled. Classes will begin at 12noon.
3.) If your YMCA branch's School District has an early dismissal-
- All afternoon (beginning at 12noon) and evening classes will be cancelled.
4.) In the case of late afternoon/early evening inclement weather or weekend weather-
- The status of all classes will be determined by the Branch Director. Information will be available by calling the branch and on the branch's facility information web page.
**PLEASE NOTE: We can not offer a credit or make-up for 1 missed classed due to inclement weather. If classes are cancelled more than once in a session because of inclement weather, a make-up class or a credit may be offered.
Child Care Policies when schools close vary by branch and district. Please check with your Child Care Center on their Weather Policy.
